M7-MFI Dong Trieu branch with member development activity and area expansion

        Implement the operation plan of Microfinance Institution Limited (M7-MFI) in 2013 on area expansion and increasing operational scale. Although it was very difficult in capital for disbursement (even the existing areas are not able to fulfill the need of loans for members). To ensure the sustainable development in both institution and finance, in August and September, the Brand leaders met and reached a consensus decision to expand area of operation in Trang An commune, under the Transaction office No 05 by loan from Dong Trieu Fund for Assistance to Women.

          On September 20^th 2013, branch manager with leadership of People committee and Women union in the commune signed a commitment to implement the program and agreed the following operational plan. Expecting in early Oct 2013, Dong Trieu branch will arrange a workshop to introduce operational model to local leaders and committees of the commune, and then will hold a promotional event to all people from 07 villages in the commune of Trang An with more than 2000 participants. The branch manager assigned operation division and transaction office No 05 collaborate with Women union in the commune to conduct survey of economic classification of households and open training for new members, establishing groups and clusters. According to the plan, activities will start officially from December 2013.

           Dong Trieu branch in particular and M7-MFI in general is facing with many difficulties but with the effort of the entire team of Dong Trieu branch and the whole M7-MFI, we hope that M7-MFI will be more growing to create belief in domestic and abroad donors, investors lending capital to M7-MFI with preferential interest rate for a growing number of the poor access to capital for household economic development, improve their lives./.
